DBIM offers both the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, designed to create future-ready business leaders equipped with strong fundamentals, ethical grounding, and a global outlook.
The BBA program at DBIM lays a robust foundation in management education, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), offering flexibility, multidisciplinary exposure, and multiple exit options. DBIM admits 60 aspiring and deserving candidates each to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs every academic year. Currently, both programs have a single annual intake.
Admission to both the BBA and MBA programs at Don Bosco Institute of Management follows a three-stage holistic selection process, designed to assess academic readiness, communication skills, and overall suitability for management education:
While performance in the written test and group discussion is important, DBIM places significant emphasis on the Personal Interview, which allows candidates to demonstrate clarity of purpose, motivation, communication skills, and overall potential. A strong interview performance can meaningfully enhance a candidate’s chances of selection.
Candidates seeking admission are required to apply to DBIM and register for the applicable entrance test (DBU-UGET or DBU-PGET), unless exempted through valid national-level competitive scores.

DBIM seeks to recruit students from a variety of academic backgrounds, disciplines, and experiences in order to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and diverse learning environment across its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
To be eligible to apply for the BBA program, an aspirant must have successfully completed or be in the process of completing 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board. Students from Arts, Science, and Commerce streams are encouraged to apply.
While academic performance at the higher secondary level is considered, greater emphasis is placed on the applicant’s aptitude, motivation, communication skills, and performance in the Personal Interview.
Applicants appearing for their final 10+2 examinations may also apply, provided they fulfill all eligibility requirements and submit the qualifying certificates within the stipulated time after commencement of the program. Such candidates may be granted provisional admission subject to verification of results.
To be eligible to apply for the MBA program, an aspirant must have completed or be completing a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university by the time the MBA session commences.
While a minimum of 50% marks is desirable for admission into the DBIM MBA program, considerable importance is given to the candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview, reflecting DBIM’s holistic evaluation approach.
Applicants who have not obtained their Bachelor’s degree at the time of application may also apply, provided they complete all degree requirements within three months of the commencement of the course at DBIM. Such candidates will be offered provisional admission until documentary evidence is furnished.
Candidates with relevant full-time work experience after graduation may be given preference during the selection process.
Applicants possessing valid GMAT, CAT, XAT, AICTE-CMAT, JMAT, or MAT scores may be eligible to participate directly in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds without appearing for the Don Bosco University – Post Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-PGET), subject to verification.

Academic Background
The academic rigor of both the BBA and MBA programs requires a sound foundational aptitude for learning and analysis. For the BBA program, academic performance at the higher secondary (10+2) level and aptitude as reflected through entrance assessments are considered. For the MBA program, prior academic performance and analytical ability, as demonstrated through DBU-PGET or valid national-level tests such as GMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, AICTE-CMAT, or JMAT, are evaluated.
DBIM does not prescribe rigid cut-off scores for entrance or competitive examinations. While strong performance is advantageous, average scores may be offset by achievements in other areas such as leadership, initiative, communication skills, or a compelling personal interview.
Work Experience
For the MBA program, candidates with relevant full-time work experience (preferably exceeding one year) may be given preference, as professional exposure adds depth to classroom learning. However, work experience is not a mandatory requirement. For the BBA program, emphasis is placed on academic readiness, curiosity, and the potential to grow into future managers and leaders.
